Faulty Cell Phones and Poor Service

Hi,
After eight or nine months have elapsed in our plan, we start to notice areas within our city limits in which we receive no service. In addition, three of the phones on our plan do not ring all the time. We call the company, and the customer service representative tells us that we may send our phones to the manufacturer for maintenance, but that it would take six to eight weeks. This isn't acceptable and we ask for our contracts to be cancelled. The customer service representative dispatches us to a supervisor specializing in cancellation requests. After a lengthy discussion with the supervisor outlining our problems, she asks what she can do to keep our business. We tell her that we want functioning phones and uninterrupted coverage in our call area. She is very accommodating and offers us five new phones with no activation charges, and a plan that includes roaming charges, which effectively negates interruption of service. We agree. When our next bill arrived, you guessed it, our activation fees were billed to us. Back on the phone.........
These blog entries on cell phones have been but a sampling of problems customers have with cell phone carriers across the country. Tomorrow I will talk about some of the reasons for these problems.
Until then,
Alan

I came across your blog from DebtCC Blog Hunt...I like it very much as it reflects with my own experiences with cell phones.
